The Co-operative is situated at Shop 5 Macquarie Plaza .The aim of the co-operative is to connect local producers with local consumers and raise awareness about the benefits of eating local and organically produced food. It is owned and run by the communityfor the local community.
The October 7 meeting will be held at 2pm at Spencer and Beryl’s garden at 9 Wilde Close, Llanarth. Stalwarts of the garden club, Spencer and Beryl have a lovely town garden featuring a variety of plantings including clematis, iris, succulents, salvia, penstemon and geraniums. Parking is limited as the garden is at the top of a steep cul-de-sac so drop-off only at the driveway and then park in Stinson Street or Endurance Court. Car sharing would be preferable.
Our November 4 meeting will be held at 2pm at Lesley and Keith’s property, “Greenbrook”, a rural property situated approximately 15 minutes north of Bathurst at 1237 Limekilns Road. The front of the property has a stunning view across the valley to the foothills of the Great Dividing Range. Keith and Lesley began developing the house paddock four years ago, planting native and deciduous trees, interspersed with shrubs and underplanted with bulbs, their aim being to create a windproof and tranquil area surrounding their house.
