Tasmania Trip November 2017
In early November seventeen members of Bathurst Gardeners’ Club travelled to Tasmania. Based in Launceston we travelled out each day exploring the areas around Launceston, Deloraine and Mole Creek. We were very lucky as the weather was fantastic for the whole week. Apart from the many fabulous gardens we also did a cruise on the Tamar River, visited Entally Garden Fest, a cheese factory, saw Tasmania Devils and visited historic properties. Everyone had a great time and many of us wished our gardens looked as lush as those we saw. The cooler climate and higher rainfall does wonders! It was also lovely to catch up with Anna Gardiner again. Anna was a former trip organiser for our club and now lives in Deloraine. She kindly organised a whole day of gardens to visit in her area.
